KUALA LUMPUR: The first Nigerian movie to be shot in the country, Most Wanted Queens, was launched here today.

The movie's executive producer, Henry Cesh, said Nigerian students studying in Malaysia had been roped in to act in the movie.

"After six months of market research, we discovered that the quest for Nigerian movies produced abroad has increased tremendously," he said at the launching by Information Communication and Culture deputy minister Datuk Maglin Dennis D'Cruz.

Cesh said the movie would be distributed in other countries as well, adding that they were also seeking sponsorships.

D'Cruz said he hoped that more youngsters would be involved in the film industry in the country.

"This will enable young people who have talents and interest in acting to find a profession or career in the film industry," he added.
