Suki back in KL after starring in musical ‘Four Gifts’

KUALA LUMPUR: Reality star Suki (pic) will be starring in a musical called Four Gifts, which also stars pop star Nicholas Teo.

The musical, shot in Taiwan, is scheduled to be aired over Astro on Dec 21.

“Acting is new to me, there is a lot of adjustment to do but I appreciate the experience.

“The director and cast have been very kind to me,” she told The Daily Chilli.

Suki made her career in singing after winning the One In A Million reality show in 2006.

The 20-year-old auditioned for Four Gifts last December and got the part as the youngest sister of the girlfriend of Teo’s character Ren Shao Ting.

“The director met me in KL and asked me to audition in Taipei.

“When I got the role, he said I had to stay in Taiwan for three months to shoot the drama,” said Suki.

Filming of Four Gifts has just finished and the young lass is back in the federal capital, plunging right into a Mandarin musical called In Love With.

Directed by local theatre personalities, Royn Lee and Roin Lek, In Love With is the three different stories of Malaysian youths in their search for love, friendship and the meaning of life.

Suki said she pretty much played herself in the musical – a rough-it-out and tough-it-up kind of girl.
