An Indonesian man smiles after hearing that he is the first person to buy the Galaxy Tab 10.1 in the country on Saturday.
Samsung Electronics unveiled its latest tablet PC, the Galaxy Tab 10.1, in Indonesia on Saturday (local time).
The company prepared 1,200 units for the first day but it was not enough to satisfy demand as over 4,000 visitors lined up to get their hands on the buzz-generating new gadget.
Samsung said the scramble to snap up its new-generation Galaxy Tab was attributable to the popularity of its predecessor, the 7-inch Galaxy Tab, which has achieved a 65 percent share of the local market since its release in Indonesia last year.
